Celebrate the Opening of the Kasych Family Pavilion

On Sat., Jan. 5 from 1-4 p.m., you’re invited to tour our new seven-story patient care tower, the Kasych Family Pavilion, at LVH-Cedar Crest. The event is free. Here’s what to expect when you come to the celebration:

  • Free parking – When you drive onto campus, look for signs directing you to parking areas for the event. After you park, you’ll get a free shuttle ride to Kasych’s front door. During the ride, a Lehigh Valley Hospital and Health Network (LVHHN) employee will be onboard to begin your tour.
  • Guided tours – An LVHHN employee will be your escort on a 30-45 minute walking tour of the building. You’ll see private patient rooms, the new Regional Burn Center, open-heart unit and more.
  • “Green” presentations – Learn what makes Kasych an environmentally-friendly building.
  • Free health screenings
  • Light refreshments

To R.S.V.P., call 610-402-CARE.

What’s Inside?

The Kasych Family Pavilion was built with your health care needs in mind. Before construction began, we identified the health care services you need most. We also asked you what your ideal hospital would be like. Kasych brings it all together. Here’s what it includes:

Private rooms – All of Kasych’s patient rooms are private to provide you with a quieter, more peaceful time in the hospital.

Regional Burn Center – This new 18-bed facility on Kasych’s third floor is twice the size of its former location. More space means more available beds for patients who have burn injuries.

Expanded heart care – A new state-of-the-art unit on the third floor will provide care to patients recovering from heart surgery.

Intensive care units – Additional beds and leading-edge equipment is available on these second floor units for patients who need specialized care.

Medical-surgical units – Located on floors 4-6, these units provide a total of 90 beds.

Classroom and education space – Eight rooms on the first floor will be used to host the hundreds of classes, lectures and workshops we offer to help you learn how to improve your health.
